Our services

Chiropractors are neuromusculoskeletal specialists. This means that we focus on conditions affecting the nervous system, skeletal system, and muscle.

Chiropractors treat a range of conditions affecting these systems of the body through a variety of means and therapies. While chiropractic care does focus on the spine, chiropractors are trained to treat all the joints and muscles of the body including those of the arms and legs.

Common conditions treated by a chiropractor include:

  • Back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Headaches

  • Muscle tension and spasm

  • Muscle injury and strain

  • Joint injury and sprain

  • Tendonitis

  • Ligament injury

  • Poor posture

  • Alignment and postural conditions

  • Sports injuries

Methods of treatment that we use to correct and improve these conditions include spinal manipulation and mobilisation, muscle stretching and strengthening, soft tissue massage and therapy, and dry needling.

Our massage therapist specialises in relaxing and therapeutic hot stone aromatherapy massage. The benefit of this is a reduction in stress and tension that can cause or aggravate other musculoskeletal conditions.

She is a fully qualified somatologist with an in depth understanding of the human body and the anatomy of the muscular system. She works hand in hand with our chiropractors to provide the best care for our patients.

Massages are booked independantly of chiropractic appointments and the following are on offer:

  • 30 minute back and shoulder

  • 60 minute full body

  • 45 minute reflexology

At Highway Chiropractic we have a multi-use studio on the premises and Pilates is one of the regular classes we host.

Pilates is a form of core exercise for all ages & fitness levels. It promotes core strengthening, weight loss, improved posture & greater body awareness.

Pilates ties in well with chiropractic care as it enhances posture and improves the strength of the core muscles that help to stabilise the spine.

Our Pilates classes are held every Tuesday and Friday evening at 5pm.
